Welcome to the Subdomain Onboarding Guide for Superlink’s free subdomain service. This page outlines the steps and prerequisites required to integrate your solution with our service, ensuring a smooth and efficient setup.

Prerequisites

Before proceeding, ensure that the Superlink SDK is correctly installed and configured within your environment. For detailed instructions, please refer to our SDK Setup Guide.

Onboarding Scenarios

Depending on your needs, you may either wish to use an existing domain or acquire a new one through our service. Below, we detail the processes for each scenario.

Using an Existing Domain

To onboard with an existing domain, ensure the following configurations are in place:

  1. Enable DNSSEC at your domain provider’s DNS management tool. This security measure is crucial for the onboarding process.
  2. Your domain must include a specific TXT record:
ENS1 0x505D33bA35DEa67De12A8Cb3A915f9B58Ae1B50e

To verify that your domain is correctly set up, utilize the Parentdomain Validation API. This endpoint will confirm your domain’s readiness and identify any potential configuration issues.

Acquiring a New Domain

If you require a new domain, Superlink provides two APIs to facilitate this process:

  1. Parentdomain Search API: Find an available domain to serve as your namespace’s parent domain. Learn more.
  2. Parentdomain Purchase API: Complete the purchase and setup of your new domain. Learn more.

Please Note: Purchasing a domain through our service requires the same personal information as a standard ICANN domain registration, including full name, contact details, and physical address. However, all domains are acquired under a privacy proxy to ensure your personal information remains confidential and is not displayed in WHOIS records.
