Implementing free subdomains

Implementing free branded subdomains is simple.

Here’s your guide:

1

Pick a domain

Schedule a call with us where we’ll talk through domain options and select the perfect one for you. For example yourbrand.id.

2

Choose SDK or API implementation

SDK solution = plug and play. API lets you design everything.

3

Implement it

An SDK solution can easily fit into your next sprint. API is more up to you. Our velvet glove support will make it easy.

We know how much you care about the end user experience. We do too. Our last business was a mobile app used by millions of consumers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Web3 domains are simple for the user, but complex behind the scenes. Our job is to make them easy for you.

How can these domains be free?

ENS subdomains are an off-chain solution geared to maximize adoption. You pay for the domain and a small management fee for Superlink to manage your domain and subdomains, and users get them for free.

How should I pick a domain?

You can pick any web2 domain that has a DNSSEC-compatible TLD. That includes most web2 domains. We recommend .id domains but really any will do. Be sure to include your brand or a shortened version of your brand for maximum brand impact.

Are these decentralized domains?

ENS subdomains are less trustless than on-chain premium domains. Subdomain data is not stored on-chain; data is signed with a private key (Superlink’s) which is then verified on-chain. That’s the trade-off for a free domain. Coinbase has issued more than 4 million of these. They are industry standard.

What about subdomain name restrictions?

We have a content moderation function for subdomain claiming, and the character limit for subdomain choice is 30 characters.

We gather analytics data on SDK/API usage and collect wallet address and subdomain pairs for resolution purposes.
